New Plastic Industrial enters flexible packaging market with BOBST VISION CI and NOVA SX 550
Backed by a vision to lead rather than follow, Jordanian manufacturer New Plastic Industrial has launched its flexible packaging division with a dual investment in BOBST printing and laminating technologies.
Founded in 2005, New Plastic Industrial Co. is part of Al Hazaa Investment Group and has grown to become one of the largest manufacturers of woven polypropylene bags in Jordan and across the Middle East. Operating from a 20,000m² industrial facility in the Al Qastal Industrial Area of Amman, the company employs around 140 people across two 12-hour shifts, producing a minimum of 40 million bags and approximately seven tons of raffia rolls annually.
Over more than two decades, the company has built a reputation for quality and reliability, achieving ISO 9001 certification and Food Contact compliance while supplying agriculture, food, construction, and industrial sectors with woven polypropylene bags, raffia rolls, and flexible packaging solutions. That track record of investment and growth is central to the culture set by Chairman Mr. Jamal Al Hazaa and the broader leadership team, which has a clear and consistent mandate to invest only in the best.
Resilience, growth, and a changing market
Like many manufacturers in the region, New Plastic Industrial has had to navigate external pressures in recent years, including supply chain disruption and significant increases in raw material costs. Rather than constraining the business, these pressures reinforced its commitment to building internal strength through technology and capability.
At the same time, the market was becoming increasingly demanding. Customers were paying far greater attention to print quality, consistency, and finishing standards, and competition across the region was intensifying. The decision to enter the flexible packaging segment was a deliberate strategic move to diversify, add value, and serve both external customers and the group’s sister companies with a higher-tier offering.
The right partner for a new chapter
When evaluating partners for the flexible packaging expansion, the leadership team had clear set of criteria: advanced technology, a strong industry reputation, and a preference for European, particularly German, manufacturing standards. BOBST met every one of these criteria.
In 2024, New Plastic Industrial invested in two machines: the BOBST VISION CI flexo printing press and the NOVA SX 550 solventless laminator. It was the company’s first investment with BOBST and marked a significant step in its evolution.
The VISION CI is a high-performance central impression (CI) flexo press designed for converters seeking to automate and optimize flexible packaging production. Capable of running solvent-based and water-based systems with consistent, repeatable quality across a wide range of substrates and thicknesses, it is engineered to deliver speed without compromising on output.
The NOVA SX 550 solventless laminator complements the press seamlessly, enabling high-speed lamination across a broad range of applications from standard food packaging structures through to more technically complex configurations.

The results since installation have exceeded expectations. In less than one year of operations, New Plastic Industrial has acquired more than 50 new customers in the flexible packaging sector and reached approximately 1,500 tons of production. This growth is a strong indicator of both the capability of the new equipment and the speed at which the team has been able to scale.
Beyond the headline numbers, the machines have delivered measurable improvements in production efficiency, waste reduction, and quality consistency. This last point has been particularly important in a market where end customers are increasingly exacting, and the ability to produce print that is precise and repeatable run after run has become a clear competitive differentiator.

The transition to new technology always carries a learning curve, and New Plastic Industrial is open about the initial adjustment period. Getting operators fully comfortable with the new machines required time and close collaboration. BOBST technicians worked on site to guide the team through every aspect of operation, building competence at each stage of the process.
“Initially, it was challenging for operators to adapt to new machines, but with the support of BOBST technicians, the process became much easier. They worked closely with our team, ensuring they understood each step and gained real confidence,” said Ameen Al Hazaa. “BOBST support has been excellent. The technical team has been in continuous contact with our maintenance department whenever needed, providing timely assistance and guidance. This has helped us maintain smooth operations and resolve any technical issues quickly.”

Epson Luncurkan SC-G6030: Printer DTF Pertama Dengan ukuran 32 Inci
Epson kembali memperkuat posisinya sebagai pemimpin industri percetakan profesional dengan meluncurkan SC-G6030, printer Direct-to-Film (DTFilm) pertama Epson dalam format 32 inci. Hadir dengan kapasitas tinta 1,6 liter dan kebutuhan perawatan yang sangat minimal, SC-G6030 menawarkan solusi efisien dan andal bagi pelaku industri cetak pakaian yang tengah menghadapi pergeseran tren dari Direct-to-Garment (DTG) menuju DTFilm sebagaimana dicatat IDC pada kuartal kedua 2024.
Perawatan Minimal, Operasional Stabil
SC-G6030 dirancang untuk menyederhanakan proses operasional harian. Berbeda dengan printer konvensional, perangkat ini tidak memerlukan perawatan setiap hari—hanya pengocokan ringan tinta putih di pagi hari. Proses penting seperti pemeriksaan nozzle, penyesuaian dua arah dan umpan media, hingga pengiriman pekerjaan cetak berlangsung otomatis dan paralel, sehingga satu operator dapat mengendalikan beberapa unit sekaligus. Hasilnya, pekerjaan manual berkurang, efisiensi meningkat, dan biaya operasional turun signifikan.
Untuk urusan perawatan, SC-G6030 menggunakan sistem wiper berbahan kain yang memerlukan penggantian berkala, menggantikan wiper karet konvensional yang harus dibersihkan setiap hari. Sistem umpan kain memastikan area pembersih selalu baru sehingga risiko penumpukan tinta berkurang.
Printer ini juga dilengkapi cap station dan suction cap yang mengurangi perawatan manual. Suction cap bekerja otomatis dengan cairan perawatan untuk membersihkan tinta kering, menjaga daya isap optimal, dan mempertahankan produktivitas. Sistem sirkulasi tinta putih turut mencegah pengendapan dan potensi penyumbatan, menjaga kualitas cetak tetap konsisten. Tinta Epson UltraChrome DF diformulasikan agar mudah dipulihkan dari sedimentasi dan didukung material spacer yang menjaga performa cetak tetap stabil.
Performa Cetak Tinggi & Ramah Lingkungan
SC-G6030 menawarkan beragam mode cetak untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pelanggan yang luas, termasuk kemampuan mencetak grafis full-color dalam waktu kurang dari 9 menit¹. Seluruh tinta yang digunakan telah memperoleh sertifikasi Oeko-Tex® Eco Passport—bebas zat berbahaya dan memenuhi standar keselamatan global.
Printer ini juga tersertifikasi Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), memastikan proses pencetakan yang ramah lingkungan mulai dari bahan baku hingga hasil akhir produk.
Efisiensi Maksimal dalam Desain Ringkas
Berbagai fitur ramah pengguna turut meningkatkan efisiensi produksi. Fitur pemotong bawaan dengan sistem hitung mundur memastikan film tidak terjatuh, mengurangi limbah dan risiko kerusakan hasil cetak. Sementara itu, tangki tinta berkapasitas besar memungkinkan operasi cetak volume tinggi dengan gangguan minimal.
Dirancang untuk ruang kerja terbatas, SC-G6030 hadir dalam ukuran ringkas dengan luas tapak hanya 1,2 m² (1.608 mm x 745 mm). Ruang kerja seluas 3,88 m² (2.118 mm x 1.834 mm) sudah cukup untuk menampung perangkat ini, menjadikannya fleksibel untuk berbagai lingkungan produksi.
Berdasarkan pengujian internal Epson, kualitas cetak Level 3 (600 × 600 dpi) dicapai menggunakan tiga lembar stiker 580 mm × 847 mm, lebar media 600 mm, mode lapisan warna tunggal, pencetakan dua arah. Waktu cetak aktual grafis full-color adalah 8,41 menit.
